Albert L. Atkins, 85, of Seven Valleys, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, July 20, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Jean (Coley) Atkins. The couple were married for 53 years until her passing in 2017.

Mr. Atkins was born in Saltville, VA on August 15, 1938 and was the son of the late JC and Sally (Davidson) Atkins. As an adult Albert moved to Baltimore and lived there until 10 years ago, when he moved to Pennsylvania.

Albert worked as truck driver for most of his life, and retired from L.F. Mahoney. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Who loved spending time with his great grandchildren and dog, Sky.

He is survived by his son, Barney Edward Lee, Jr., and was predeceased by his daughter, Teresa Ann Brooksher. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Barbara Hubard and her husband Eric and Brittany Lee; six great grandchildren, Eric Jr., Kirah, Brian and wife Ashley, Kayla, Jacob and Jordyn.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., with a funeral service being held at 7:30 PM. A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM on Wednesday at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Rd., York, PA 17402. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery entrance at 12:45PM.
