Obituary

Annis Faye (Rauhauser) Diehl of York died peacefully on Sunday, August 13, 2023. She was the loving wife of Gene W. Diehl.

Born in Dover on May 27, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Floyd G. Rauhauser and Ruth R. (Dick) Rauhauser.

Annis spent her life serving her family, friends, and neighbors her entire life.  She was an excellent baker, cook, and hostess, always opening her home for family, friends, and neighbors.  She took great pride in being a wife, mother, mother in-law, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by the love of her life Gene W. Diehl, her children Kay Crumling, Alan Diehl and his wife Janet, Timothy Diehl and his wife Brenda, Floyd Diehl and his wife Deb.  She is survived by her grandchildren, Andrew Diehl, Tammy Cooke, Steven Diehl, Bradley Diehl, Richard Diehl, Justin Crumling, Sabrina (Diehl) Flanders, Nicole Crumling, and Jennifer Crumling. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Ethan Cooke, Kaitlynn Diehl, Samantha Diehl, Osiris Diehl, Riley Burns, Kaylee Burns, Adrian Diehl, Aubrie Diehl, Aria Diehl, and Olivia Flanders.  Momma always loved her Goldie Girl cat.

She was proceeded in death by her sister Dorothy Rauhauser, her brother Clair Rauhauser, and her sister Ruthetta (Rauhauser) Fogle

Annis was a life long housekeeper for numerous families within York County, including assisting her mother Ruth at the Coopers, then solely serving the Campbell Chain Company Owners, the Naylors, the Bakers, and many other families, friends, and neighbors

A viewing will be at held from 10:00 -11:30 AM on Thursday, August 17th at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St. Dallastown, PA 17313.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday and will begin at 11:30 AM, with the Rev. Tab E. Cosgrove from Saint John Lutheran Church, Mount Rose Ave. officiating. Interment to follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
