Ardath E. (Metz) Jansky, 95 of York Township, passed away at Country Meadows of York-South, on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph A. Jansky.

Mrs. Jansky was born in York on April 19, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Frank L. and Edith M. (Hinkle) Metz.

Ardath was self-employed and owned her own custom drapery shop. She enjoyed walking, swimming, and playing cards. She loved babysitting her grandchildren, gardening, as well as painting.

She is survived by her two children; son, Ronald L. Jansky and his wife Sherry and daughter, Sandra L. Schrum and her husband Steven. She is also survived by four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A graveside service to celebrate Ardath's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Rd., York, PA 17402, with the Rev. Dr. Ron Oelrich officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery by 9:45 AM.
