Audrey M. (Emenheiser) Gemmill, 91 of York, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, March 17. She was the wife of the late Freeman E. Gemmill.

Mrs. Gemmill was born in Chanceford Twp. on February 18, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Emory and Maude (Smeltzer) Emenheiser.

Audrey was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Windsor. She enjoyed gardening, reading and cooking large meals for her family. When she was younger, Audrey enjoyed being in the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

She is survived by her son, James E. Gemmill and his wife Andrea of York and her daughter, Jean A. Ellis of Red Lion. She is also survived by four grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Emenheiser of Thomasville and a sister, Suzy Rexroth and her husband Joseph of Mifflintown.

Following cremation, a memorial service to honor Audrey's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 24 at Salem United Methodist Church, 458 Salem Church Rd., Windsor, PA 17366, with the Rev. Kathy Harvey Nelson officiating.  A visitation with the family will be held at the church on Saturday, beginning at 10:30 AM until the start of the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
