Barbara D. Delp 84, of York, died on June 13, 2023 at her home.  She was the former spouse of Robert E. Delp and they enjoyed 38 years of marriage. Born in York on September 4, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Richard and Edna (Barshinger) Shoff.

Barbara was active in music ministry most of her life and served for many years as the organist and choir director for Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Windsor and then later as choir director and organist for St. Jacob's Evangelical Lutheran Church in York New Salem. Her working career included employment at Bendix, Dentsply and GTE although the large majority of her career was spent at First Capitol Wire & Cable where she served as office manager and Director of Human Resources. Barbara had a passion for music and was an accomplished pianist and vocalist.

Barbara is survived by two sons Robert A. Delp of Melbourne, FL and Daniel S. Delp of Spring Grove; a grandson Matthew Delp; a brother Richard Shoff of Red Lion and two nieces Andrea (Shoff) Smith  and Debra (Shoff) Gable.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, 104 W. Main Street, Dallastown with Pastor Mitch Hescox officiating.  A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Monday at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.

Barbara loved flowers and would appreciate any donation of flowers for the service.
