Barbara A. (Anderson) Kornbau, 87, passed away at SpiriTrust Lutheran, The Village at Kelly Drive, on Monday, July 11, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard "Red" Kornbau. The couple were married for 58 years until his passing in 2010.

Mrs. Kornbau was born in York on April 2, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Charles and Pearl (Metzger) Anderson.

Barbara was an LPN and retired from Memorial Hospital after many years of service. Following her retirement, she continued to work part time at the Rite Aid in Red Lion. She was a longtime member of St. Johns UCC where she volunteered her time with church activities. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Golden Connections Community Center in Red Lion. Barbara was known as being an excellent seamstress and having a passion for covered bridges.

She is survived by her five children, Richard "Butch" Kornbau, II, Bruce Kornbau and his wife Barbara, Cindy Evans and her husband George, Luanne Powers and her husband Mark, and Linda Evans and her husband Alan. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren, with another great granddaughter due in September; two great-great grandchildren; as well as three brothers, Charles "Bud" Anderson, Donald Anderson and Harold Anderson.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter in law, Maryann Kornbau, a grandson, Shayne Kornbau and a brother, Luke Anderson.

A graveside service to celebrate Barbara's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 18th at Prospect Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. David Tietje officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the Pennsylvania Avenue entrance of the cemetery by 9:45 AM.
