Barry A. Selby, 75 of Seven Valleys, was called home by his Father in heaven after his long and courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Loretta G. (Lilly) Selby.

Mr. Selby was born in Spangler, PA and was the son of the late Charles M. and Helen B. (Pollick) Selby.

Barry proudly served more than 26 years in the armed services, serving in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from the U.S. Army. Following his military career, Barry worked for Cooper Industries.  After 38 years of service he retired as lead man and machine repair and operator.  He was a life member of the VFW and was a member of the American Legion Post 403. He enjoyed tinkering around his home and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and shooting sports. He was a life member of the NRA as well as a benefactor.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his nieces and nephews and will be deeply missed by his extensive number of dear friends.  He was preceded in death by his siblings, Janice Kline, Charles Selby, Jr., Fred N. Selby and Joy S. Askew.

Following cremation, a memorial service to honor Barry's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 30, at the Codorus Church of the Brethren, 1129 Dunkard Valley Rd., Dallastown, PA, with Pastor Duane Bahn officiating. A visitation with the family will be held at the church on Saturday and will begin at 1:00 PM until the start of the service.
