Obituary

Carl R. Caudill, 91, of Red Lion, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at WellSpan York Hospital. He was the devoted husband of Evelyn C. (McKinley) Caudill. Together, they shared a lifetime of love and would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on October 30.

Born on December 13, 1933, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Carl was the son of the late John S. and Elda G. (Ramsey) Caudill.

He was a hardworking man who dedicated 35 years of service to New Era Dye and also built a reputation as a skilled self-employed home builder. Carl loved the outdoors and found joy in hunting, fishing, and simply spending time in nature. He was a man who deeply valued family and was well-known for his playful sense of humor—especially when it came to giving his children a hard time.

A man of strong faith, Carl was a longtime member of Bethlehem Stonepile Church. He found comfort in reading his Bible, listening to Shepherd's Chapel, and watching Jeremiah.

Carl is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn; three children: Johnny Stearn, Greg Caudill, and Carla Miller; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Dallas Caudill and John Wayne Caudill. He was preceded in death by two sons, Rodney Caudill and Norman Stearn, as well as his brother, C.T. Caudill.

A viewing will be held on Friday, October 17, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bethlehem Stonepile Church, 250 Bethlehem Church Rd., Red Lion, PA 17356. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Larry Parlett officiating. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Stonepile Church at the address listed above.
