Carole Ann Deveney, 91 of Dallastown passed away peacefully at Inners Creek Skilled Nursing & Rehab on Sunday, June 1st, 2025.

Born November 10, 1933 in Dallastown, she was the daughter of the late Walter E. and Velma A. (Markey) Hostler.

Carole loved baking, once owning her own cake decorating company. Her heart was in the southwest, spending many years in New Mexico enjoying the desert sunsets. Carole was strong in her faith, and blessed her family with the same.

Carole is survived by three children: Scott R. Shaffer and his wife Kate of North Potomac, MD, S. Cameron Deveney and his wife Polly of PA, and Loreen K. Crockett of AZ, along with a gaggle of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Rodney Lee Shaffer.

A celebration of life service will be planned by Carole's family at a later date.
