Carolyn R (Snyder) Godfrey died Sunday March 24, 2024 at Dallastown Nursing Center, surrounded by her loving family. She now enjoys a long-awaited reunion with her husband John Godfrey Jr., who she spent 67 wonderful years alongside.

Born August 23, 1931 in Adamsville (Pinchgut) to Marvin and Myrtle (Eberly) Snyder, she was the youngest of 5 children. She is survived by a sister, Phyllis Zimmerman and was preceded in death by her sister Mildred Anderson, and two brothers Dale Snyder, and Bruce Snyder.

Carolyn graduated from Red Lion High School, and then worked at Motor Freight Express until she retired as a book keeper for her husband's masonry company.

Carolyn took pleasure spending time with her family and friends, picking hard-shell crabs, playing cards, doing puzzles and making her angel food cakes.

Also left to mourn her loss are two daughters Pam Emswiler and husband Andy, and  Kim Godfrey and partner Cindy Dantro; her granddaughter Robin Klinedinst and husband Tom,  grandson Troy Emswiler, and four great-grandchildren Tyler, Tristan, Samantha, and Madison.

The family would like to thank all the staff of Dallastown Nursing Center for their compassionate care and kindness shown to Carolyn and her family.

Per Carolyn's request there will be no services.
