Charles Harold Murphy age 88, of Red Lion, died April 15, 2021. He was the husband of Janet Warner Murphy. The couple celebrated 69 years of marriage. They were married at St. Luke 's Lutheran Church, New Bridgeville.
Mr. Murphy was born February 10, 1933 in Chanceford Twp. and was the son of the of the late G. Harold and Mary Trout Murphy.

Charles was a 1950 graduate of Red Lion High School. He was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church, Red Lion, where he served in the Scouting Program at Grace Church as a committee member, Cubmaster, and Scoutmaster for a period of 13 years. He also served as a Youth Advisor, was a member of the Young Men's Bible Class, served on Church Council, Property Committee, also as a Food Pantry helper and was a member of the Senior Choir.
Charles retired from the Manna-Pro Corporation (formerly John W. Eshelman's & Sons), after 45 years of service.

He is survived by his three sons, Dr. Greg Murphy and wife Kathy, of Lancaster, Dr. Randy Murphy and wife Patricia, of State College and Brady Murphy and wife Rebecca, of Houston, TX. He has four grandchildren, Brandon Murphy & Shannon Murphy Cunningham, and husband Mike, Amanda Murphy Burke and Eliot, and Colin Murphy; two great granddaughters, Madelyn Murphy and Paisley Cunningham, and four great grandsons, Jacob Murphy, Case & Colt Cunningham & Carson Burke. He was preceded in death by a sister Joanne Murphy Trautwein.

Charles was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He lived his Christian Faith in a humble and simple manner.

A private graveside service at New Harmony Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Brogue will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 220 N. Charles Street, Red Lion, PA.
