Charles E. Schmuck, 91, of York, passed away peacefully at Country Meadows of York-West, on Thursday, March 16th. He was the husband of the late Janice (Badders) Schmuck.
Mr. Schmuck was born in Red Lion on February 12, 1932 and was the son of the late George and Hilda (Knisley) Schmuck.
Charles was a graduate of the Red Lion High School. He proudly served in the Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. For most of his life he was a truck driver for Mason Dixon and also Preston Trucking. He was a member of the York Historical Society, Hawks Gunning Club and also the Dallastown American Legion Post #605. He enjoyed traveling, as well as painting.
He is survived by his sons, Brady Schmuck and his wife Kim, Shannon Schmuck and his wife Joanne, and Edwin C. Schmuck and his wife Joan; and sisters, Charlotte and Esther. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sylvia and Bert.
Following cremation, a visitation with the family will take place from 1:00 - 3:00 PM on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc. Military honors will be conducted at 2:00 PM, by the Dallastown American Legion Post #605. Interment will be private.
