Clarold Ness, a dedicated father, grandfather, great grandfather, great- great grandfather, and friend, passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 90 in Dallastown, PA. Born on July 3, 1934, in York, PA, he was the son of the late William E. Ness and Sara L. (Fry) Ness.

Clarold's professional life was marked by being a brick mason for 20 years, then serving the Lord with Bill Shade at Camp of the Nations; and after that he served 25 years at the Christian School of York as the maintenance supervisor, where he was deeply respected and liked by colleagues, staff, and students alike. Clarold was a member of the Red Lion Bible Church, as his faith was abundant to all those who knew him and came into contact with him. He collected matchbox cars, old diecast metal cars and Indian motorcycles.

Mr. Ness was preceded in death by his loving wife, Theresa Ann (Jackson) Ness. Together, they shared 44 years filled with love and companionship. Clarold's greatest joy was his family, and he took pride in being a devoted father to his four children: daughter Anissa Ness of Dallastown, PA, and sons Clarold Ness Jr. of Red Lion, PA, Wayne Ness of Red Lion, PA, and Joel Ness of Toney, AL. Clarold loved his family deeply, and his legacy will continue through his children, 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren and all those whose lives he touched.

In addition to his parents and wife, Clarold was preceded in death by his brothers William Ness Jr., George Ness, Charles Ness, and Thomas Ness.

A service to celebrate Mr. Ness will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the Red Lion Bible Church with Pastor Steve Schmuck officiating. A viewing and time to share memories will begin at 10:00 AM until the start of the service. Interment will follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
