Colleen R. (Wineka) Ludwig, 93, of York Township, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Senior Commons at Powder Mill. She was the beloved wife of the late John M. Ludwig. The couple were married for almost 70 years until his passing in 2017.

Mrs. Ludwig was born in York on April 16, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Melvin E. and Ethel L. (Reisinger) Wineka.

Colleen was a loving wife and mother. She will be remembered as a dedicated homemaker, who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She attended Bridgeway Community Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Christine M. Vanover; grandsons, Brad Vanover and his wife Bonnie and Doug Vanover and his companion Cathy. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Brittany, Autum, Joel and Brooke Vanover; brother, Leon Wineka, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son in law, King Vanover, Jr., and her two sisters, Phyllis McGuigan and Bernice Contres

A service to honor Colleen's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 28th at The Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, with the Rev. Dr. Dave MacKenzie officiating.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday and will begin at 10:00 AM until the start of the service. Interment to follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
