Constance K. "Connie" (Bounds) Ahearn, 85 of York passed away peacefully at York Hospital on Sunday, January 2nd, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael L. Ahearn who passed away December 15, 1979.
Born December 3, 1936 in Salisbury, MD, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Melva (Dunn) Bounds.
Connie is fondly remembered for her love of family, and she cherished spending time with them, as well as her many friends. She made friends very easily wherever she went. She was also a great cook, had a great sense of humor and loved dogs and cats. As a woman of great faith, she spent many years as a devoted and active member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Dallastown.
Mrs. Ahearn is survived by 3 sons: Douglas D. Ahearn and his wife, Nada of Harrisburg, David D. Ahearn and his wife, Diane of East Berlin and Daniel S. Ahearn of York; 4 grandchildren: Ellinore G. Mummert and her husband, Derek of East Berlin, Michael E. Ahearn of East Berlin, Andrew M. Ahearn and his wife, Alexis of State College and Jeffrey P. Ahearn of Millersville, PA; 2 great-grandchildren: Deacon J. Mummert and Trace D. Mummert of East Berlin, as well as 3 siblings: Ann Chambers and her husband, Paul, Roberta Goldsmith and her husband, Dennis and Phil Humphreys.
A service to celebrate Connie's life will be held at 11am on Thursday, January 6th at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church; 251 E. Main St. in Dallastown with Fr. Mark Weiss officiating. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery. A visitation hour will also be held at the Church on Thursday from 10am until the start of the service.
