Obituary

Craig B. Stein "Steiny", 65, of Red Lion, died Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Roxane, two daughters, Crystal Sauls and her husband, Joseph, of Felton, PA and Chelsea Pettigrew and her husband, John, of Red Lion, PA; two grandsons, Camdyn and Craig, his mother, Helen (Crumling) Stein of Huntingdon, PA, brother Gregory Stein and his wife Yvonne of Huntingdon, PA, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry E. Stein.

Born in York on October 10, 1952, he was the son of Harry E. (deceased) and Helen (Crumling) Stein. He was a Dallastown High School graduate. Craig worked for York Township for 25 years. After which, he moved onto Fitz and Smith Inc. where he worked until retirement. Once retired, he enjoyed a part-time position in Building and Grounds at Dallastown Area School District. Craig was a member of the Sons of the Legion Post 605. He also played softball for the York League since he was young. Craig and Roxane were married on July 12, 1980 and started a family. He began to share his love of softball with his daughters and began coaching them. Children were a big part of Craig's life. He touched many through his years of playing and coaching softball. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandsons.

There will be a celebration of Craig's life held at Springvale Church on April 14th at noon. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Lung Cancer Alliance (lungcanceralliance.org).
