Dennis W. Hartman, 74, of Seven Valleys, passed away at the Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center on Saturday, May 7, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Holly K. (Straw) Hartman.

Mr. Hartman was born in York on January 9, 1948 and was the son of the late Wayne L. and Dorothy L. (Frey) Hartman.

Denny worked for Maple Press Distribution, where he started as a forklift operator and retired as distribution manager after 45 years of service. He was a member of the Codorus Church of the Brethren. Denny enjoyed playing golf and softball, as well as going hunting, fishing and snowmobiling.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Dennis W. Hartman, Jr. and Dwayne M. Hartman and his wife, Ashley. He is also survived by his two granddaughters, Jozalynn and Remington Hartman; as well as his sister, Barb Deardorff and her husband Jeryl. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Joyce.

A viewing will be held on Monday, May 16, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Codorus Church of the Brethren, 1129 Dunkard Valley Rd., Dallastown, PA 17313 and again at the church on Tuesday, May 17 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, with his nephew, Pastor Matthew Deardorff officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
