Donald E. Orwick, Sr., 97, of Red Lion, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Inners Creek Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the beloved husband of the late Romaine (Swords) Orwick and the late Hilda (Sears) Hammers Orwick.

Born on June 17, 1929, in Winterstown, PA, he was the son of the late Simon T. and Elsie (Bahn) Orwick.

Donald worked as a mechanic for most of his life, retiring from Rivers Garage after many years of dedicated service. He enjoyed restoring antique automobiles, hunting, and spending time outdoors. He was also a member of the Antique Auto Club and the Beekeepers Club.

Donald is survived by his three children, Donald E. Orwick, Jr. and his wife, Nancy (Brant), Vicky Orwick and her fiancé, John Baum, and Ricky Orwick and his wife, Nancy (Morton); four grandchildren, Carla Kulb, Cliff Orwick, Natalie Kauffman, and Wendy Runkle; eight great-grandchildren; and his sister, Violet Carman; and his companion, Wanda Wayne.

In addition to his wives and parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings, May Godfrey, Roger Orwick, Byrd Orwick, and Grace Dietrich.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Mount Rose Cemetery, 1502 Mount Rose Avenue, York, PA 17403, with Pastor Steve Schmuck officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery entrance at 9:45 AM.
