Donaline L. (Weikert) Grove, 95 of Spry, passed away peacefully at the York Hospital on Sunday, April 8. She was the beloved wife of the late Harry L. Grove. The couple was married for72 years until his passing in 2012.

Mrs. Grove was born in York on August 1, 1922 and was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Husson) Weikert.

Donaline formerly worked for the York Casket Company and Tioga Textiles, and retired from the food service department of York Hospital. She was a faithful member of Christ Lutheran Church of Spry for over 60 years, where she was a member of various committees, including the Altar Guild and Strawberry Festival. She was a member of the church hand bell choir and sang in the choir. She was the former secretary of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Goodwill Fire Company, York Twp. Donaline enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She displayed her talents by making blankets for the newly baptized, and hats and blankets for the babies of the NICU at York Hospital.  Above all things and what was most important to Donaline was her family, whom she deeply loved.

She is survived by her two daughters, Darlene Winters and her husband Keith "Butch" of Spry and Elaine Trimmer; five grandchildren, Kim Keech and her husband Scott, Debra Eberly, Michael Trimmer and his wife Traci, Matthew Trimmer, and Michelle Willett and her husband Dave. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; and her brother, Robert Weikert. She was preceded in death by two brothers, E. Ray Weikert and Ronald Weikert and her sister, Helen Lorraine Hyder.

A funeral service to honor Donaline's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 12, at Christ Lutheran Church of Spry, 2385 S. Queen St., York, with the Rev. James Polanzke officiating. A viewing will be held at the church on Thursday and will begin at 10:00 AM until the start of the service. Interment will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
