Obituary

Donna Maye (Stine) Kibler, 88, of Jacobus, passed away at her home on May 18, 2026. She was a loving and selfless wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed.

Donna was born on July 31, 1937, in York to Curtis and Elsie (Krout) Stine, later joined by her brother Larry to complete the family. A fond memory was playing with the cats on her maternal grandparents' farm (Donna would eventually own four cats of her own as an adult). In high school she learned to sew—a skill she perfected over the years as she sewed her own clothes, created and sold doll clothes, and made intricate quilts, many of which she gave away as gifts. It was also in high school when she skated at Playland Roller Rink, often wearing a poodle skirt, and catching the eye of her future husband, Milton R. Kibler (Milt).

During her 63 years of marriage, Donna balanced her primary role as wife (affectionately nicknamed "Pige") to Milt and mother of three with stints working in offices, a daycare, a department store, a cookie factory, and a sewing factory. She was an active member of Salem Lutheran Church. She also had a flair for interior decorating, frequently refreshing rooms with new curtains, paint, and wallpaper—all of which she did herself. She had many interests and hobbies, including archeology, reading, antiquing, gardening, spirituality, and art. (Kahlo Frida and Vincent van Gogh were favorites.) One of her greatest joys was traveling. With Milt at her side (and frequently with other family members), she drove, she rode, she flew, she cruised, visiting many US states and several countries.

In her later years and after Milt's passing, with her sewing machine and passport put aside, she kept her mind and hands active with Sudoku, diamond paintings, and Korean TV shows. But the through-line to her entire life was her devotion to her family.

Donna rarely complained, worked hard, and always looked put together from head to toe. She lived lovingly, honestly, and economically (yet gave generously). She exuded a joie de vivre and left behind a template for living life to the fullest.

Donna was predeceased by her husband. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children Vickie Kibler, Milton (Todd) Kibler and wife Wendy (Miller), and Brian Kibler and wife Kat Lemcke. She is also survived by grandchildren Mandy Blevins and fiancée Lisa Young, Kristin Spackman and husband Jody, Austin Kibler and wife Corrine (Hayward), Brett Kibler and wife Kelly (Detweiler), as well as great-grandchildren Max Kibler, Ireland Dick, Ian Kibler, and Carter Kibler. She also leaves behind her faithful dog companion, Barney.

Donna's children are grateful to the hospice team for their dedication to our mother's comfort. We are also grateful to Wendy (Stine) Miller for her gift of companionship and care, especially during our mother's final months.

There will be a funeral service for Donna on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown PA at 12:00 P.M. with Rev. Tina Minnich officiating. A viewing will be held prior beginning at 11:00 A.M. until the start of the service. Interment will follow at Salem Union Cemetery. Following the burial, the family invites family and friends back to Salem Lutheran Church for a light meal.
