Doris L. (Haugh) Smith, 85, of York Township, passed away at her residence on Friday, February 9, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late David W. Smith.

Mrs. Smith was born in Brogue on March 7, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Eugene and Pauline (Nace) Haugh.

Along with her husband she was the co-owner of David W. Smith, Inc. and later Smith Crane Services and Smith Rentals. Doris enjoyed being in the outdoors, especially if she was playing tennis, backpacking, hiking or camping. She loved going to the beach and spending time at her beach house with her family. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Thornton and her husband William, and by her son, Lyle Smith and his wife Stacey. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Julia Thornton, Christina Thornton and Slade Smith.

Following cremation, a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date, with date and time to be announced.
