Dorladeen M. Brown, 94, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at York South Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Windsor on June 7, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Ammon G. Markel and Pansy Mae (Winters) Markel.

Dorladeen was the loving wife of many years to Earl "Gene" Brown, who preceded her in death in 2023. She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose love and care for her family remained constant throughout her life.

She is survived by her daughters, Melodee S. Sherwood and her husband John of Seven Valleys, and Candace Welty and her husband Dan of Dover; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Janice Dehoff and Elizabeth Korupp and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Dorladeen was preceded in death by her daughter, Sonia A. Reichard.

In accordance with Dorladeen's wishes, a graveside service will be held privately by the family in Windsor Cemetery.  Dorladeen will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
