Ebert M. Blymire, 84 of Craley, passed away at the York Hospital on Tuesday, October 24.

Mr. Blymire was born in Craley on January 8, 1933 and was the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth P. (Graham) Blymire.

Ebert proudly served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked in the shipping department at Alloy Rods and retired after 39 years of service. Before that, he was employed by Yorktown Kitchens.

Ebert loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He was a member of several sportsman organizations including the Craley Fish and Game, where he was president for over 45 years, the East Prospect Fish and Game, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and was also a lifetime member of the NRA. He was an active member of the Susquehanna Senior Center, where he volunteered with meals on wheels. Ebert was an avid fan of bluegrass music and organized pick-n parlor at the Susquehanna Senior Center and enjoyed going to bluegrass concerts.  He was the historian for the Craley School reunion and was on the Craley Days committee. He was an active member of Calvary Bible Church. Many will miss his smile and giving spirit, especially his homemade ice cream

He is survived by his son, Anthony Blymire; brother, Maurice Blymire; two sisters, Rhoda Culp and Joanne Glatfelter; as well as many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by seven siblings, Eva Druck, J. Robert Blymire, J. Richard Blymire, Paul Blymire, Harold Blymire, Charles Blymire, Jr., and Pauline Lentz.

A funeral service to honor Ebert's life will be held at Noon on Saturday, October 28 at the Calvary Bible Church, 125 Calvary Church Rd., Wrightsville, PA 17368, with Pastor Joey Fauth officiating.  A viewing will be held at the church on Saturday and will begin at 10:00 AM until the start of the service. Interment will follow in Springville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Ebert's name can be made to the Susquehanna Senior Center, or to Calvary Bible Church.
