Edgar W. Smith, 92 of York Township, passed away peacefully at ManorCare Health Services – Dallastown, on Tuesday, November 6. He was the beloved husband of 74 years to Arlene E. (Barshinger) Smith.

Mr. Smith was born in Dallastown on December 30, 1925 and was the son of the late Washington J. and Piccola (Zeigler) Smith.

In addition to his wife, Edgar is survived by his two sons, Dale L. Smith and his wife Cheryl and David P. Smith and his wife Lorrie. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Dale L. Smith Jr., Heather Lawrence and her husband Kevin and Lindsey Craley and her husband Jason; as well as his three great grandchildren, Landon Craley, Connor Lawrence and Cooper Lawrence.

A funeral service to honor Edgar's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 9th at Spry Church, 50 School St. York, PA 17402, with the Rev. Ken Loyer officiating. A viewing will be held at the church on Friday and will begin at noon until the start of the services. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of ManorCare Health Services – Dallastown , for the care and support they provided during Edgar's stay.
