Edith E. (Barshinger) Shaw Grim, 95, of Red Lion, passed away Sunday, November 6 ^th at Autumn House West. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Shaw, Sr. in 1968 and Titus Grim in 1986.

Edith was born in York on January 10, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Wilson and Martha (Hengst) Barshunger. She was also predeceased by seven brothers and sisters, Paul Barshinger, Ruth Daugherty, Leona Deardorff, Flo Zarfoss, Joe Barshinger, Glenn Barshinger and Chet Barshinger, as well as her daughter, Brenda Grove and her husband Roger.

She is survived by her three sons, William Shaw, Jr. (Barbara), Jack Shaw (Brenda) and Marvin Shaw (Shirley). Edith had eleven grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister-in-law- and brother-in-law, Shirley and James Herbst and family, of Texas.

In her early days, Edith peddled produce and eggs, tended market and raised her family. She later worked at the York Hospital in Central Supply, until retiring.

She was a member of Adamsville United Methodist Church and was active at the Red Lion Senior Center. She enjoyed playing bingo and parcheesi.

A funeral service to honor Edith's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 11 ^th at Pleasant View Church, 10384 Winterstown Rd., Red Lion, PA 17356, with Pastor Woody Harrison officiating. A viewing at the church will precede the funeral and will begin at 10:00 AM until the start of the service. Interment to follow in St. John's Blymire's Cemetery.
