Obituary

Edward C. Coeyman, Sr., 86, of Dallastown, passed away peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his family, on Friday, March 28, 2025. He was the devoted husband of 67 years to Mary F. (Shaw) Coeyman.

Born in Dallastown to the late Harold and Viola (Hengst) Coeyman, Edward was a loving father to Edward Coeyman, Jr. and his wife Stefanie, Ronald Coeyman and his companion Sherrie Coeyman, Jean Leib and her companion Jack Wolf, and Sandra Myers and her husband Eric. He was a proud grandfather of 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Edward is also survived by his brother, Gary Coeyman. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jane Flickinger, son-in-law Robert Harrison, grandchildren Amanda Coeyman and Beau Coeyman, great-grandson London Flickinger, and his brothers, David and Richard Coeyman, along with his sisters, Barbara Walton and Connie Miller.

Edward served as a police officer for Dallastown and part-time for Red Lion. After retiring as a truck driver, he enjoyed spending his time tinkering around the house, working on tractors, and mowers—simple pleasures that brought him joy. Above all, Edward was a devoted and loving father and grandfather, whose legacy of hard work, kindness, and family devotion will be remembered by all who knew him.
