Edward Karpinski, of York Township, passed away at his residence on Thursday, June 7, six days before his 70 ^th birthday. He was the beloved husband of Pamela Y. (Stine) Karpinski.

Mr. Karpinski was born in Shamokin, PA on June 13, 1948 and was the son of the late Joseph W. and Mildred (Horoshock) Karpinski.

Edward was raised in Ranshaw, PA and graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes High School. He received his Bachelor of Education from Mansfield University.  He retired from Evan's Delivery, where he worked as a transportation broker. Prior to that, he worked in education, at Caterpillar Tractor and Preston Trucking as a dock supervisor.  Edward was a member of the UAW and a former member of the Knights of Columbus. In his spare time he enjoyed mowing, gardening, playing golf, bowling and watching sports. He was president of the Heritage Palms Condo Association in Florida, where he and his wife resided for six months of the year.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Chanelle Nemeth and her husband Brian of Strongsville, OH, Cherica Cottrell and her husband Tim of Dallastown, Joseph Miller of Ft. Myers, FL, Andrew Miller and his wife Katie of Dallastown and Jennifer Stitzer and her husband Evan of Seven Valleys. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and his cousins, Alan, Mary, Vincent, Rosie and Carol.

A funeral service to honor Edward's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 14 at Salem Lutheran Church, 99 York Rd., Jacobus, PA 17407, with Pastor Tina Minnich officiating. A viewing will be held at the church on Thursday and will begin at 10:00 AM until the start of the service. Burial will follow in Salem Union Cemetery.
