Edward L. Kessler, 73, passed away January 5, 2024 at WellSpan York Hospital. He was married to Peggy A. (Wilson) Kessler for 40 years before her passing.

Edward was the son of the late Jack B. and Vernetta (Keller) Kessler. He also had two sisters, Ellen Kessler and Karen Kroft who preceded him; as well as a sister-in-law, Barb Kashner.

Edward graduated from York Catholic Class of 1969. He was an Air Force veteran who served during Vietnam. He job was a fireman at an air base in Taiwan for two years and was also stationed for two years at an Air Force base in Nevada, where he was also a fireman. Edward worked at YEP for 38 years before retiring. He also did back hoe work on the side. He enjoyed watching TV westerns and NASCAR.

He is survived by his two brothers, Tim Kessler and his wife Bev, and Tom Kessler and his wife Nina; one sister, Kathy Ness and her husband Mark; as well as his brothers-in-law, Bill Kroft and Charles Kroft. He lived with his brother-in-law, Barry Kashner and his son, Scott.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A service to honor Edward's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at The Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday and will begin at 10:00 AM until the start of the service. Interment to follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
