Edward John Konopack, III, 74, died on Monday, May 10, 2021 at his residence in Dallastown surrounded by loved ones.

Born August 7, 1946 in Plainfield, NJ, he was the son of the late Edward J. and Marie H. (Friedrich) Konopack, Jr.

Mr. Konopack grew up in Garwood, NJ. He attended St. Anne's Grammar school in Garwood, NJ, Oratory Prep School in Summit, NJ and he received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Villanova University.

Mr. Konopack was commissioned a 2 ^nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force on March 31, 1969 and served as a navigator on KC-135s during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Konopack was a member and past commander of Dallastown Legion Post 605 and a lifetime member of Kreutz Creek Valley VFW post 7045 in Hallam, PA. Ed was an avid reader and civil war buff. He also enjoyed cooking and craft beers.

He is survived by his two children; son, Chris Konopack and wife Gina of Pittsburgh and  daughter, Carrie Konopack Zeigler, of York.  He is also survived by his granddaughter, Nixie Konopack and grandson, Mannix Konopack.

Following cremation, a visitation with the family will be held on Monday, May 17 ^th at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Military honors will be rendered by the Dallastown Legion Post 605 Honor Guard at 5:00 PM. Interment is private.
