Elwood R. "Ray" Smith, 82 of Red Lion, passed away at WellSpan York Hospital on Saturday, July 15, 2023. He was the beloved husband of 25 years to Monica (Rocha) Smith.

Ray was born on April 24, 1941 in Windsor Township and was the son of the late Clarence N. and Margaret May (Flowers) Smith.

Ray worked for General Dynamics and retired in 2001 after 35 years of service.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Rae L. (Smith) Thompson and her husband Bob and Dustin Smith and his wife Julie; stepchildren, Theresa Murray and her husband David and Glenn Wareham. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Shannon Thompson, Lacey Thompson, Maxwell Murray, Mason Murray and Cody Redifer; great granddaughter, Natasha Dingle, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Clarence Smith, Jr., Oliver "Bud" Smith, John Smith, Dale Smith and Dora Jean Smith.

A service to honor Ray's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 25th at The Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday and will begin at 10:00 AM until the start of the service. Interment to follow in Salem Community Cemetery.
