Esther E. (Ferree) Raffensberger, 82 of Dallastown, passed away at her residence on Monday, June 27 ^th . She was the beloved wife of Harvey A. Raffensberger.  The couple would have celebrated their 59 ^th wedding anniversary this August.

Mrs. Raffensberger was born in Springfield Twp. on April 21, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Grace E. (McConnell) Ferree.

Esther worked as the payroll supervisor for the Dallastown Area School District and retired after 24 years of service. She was a member of the York County Chapter of the PA Association of School Retirees and was a lifetime member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Jacobus. Esther enjoyed baking, cooking, and canning, as well as listening to bluegrass music. She loved spending time with her family, especially her two grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Jason L. Raffensberger and his wife Colleen, of Red Lion and her two grandchildren, Caden Jay Raffensberger and Leah Marie Raffensberger. She is also survived by her siblings, Marvin Ferree, Dannis Ferree, David Ferree, Stanley Ferree, Donald Ferree, Curtis Ferree and Linda M. Frantz, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gaylord and Victor Ferree.

A visitation with the family will be held on Friday, July 1 ^st from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Salem Lutheran Church, 99 York Rd., Jacobus, PA 17407. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Tina Minnich officiating. Interment to follow in Salem Union Cemetery.
