Fae A. (Herbst) Smith, 82 of Dallastown, passed away at her residence on Sunday, November 7 ^th .  She was the beloved wife of 54 years to B. Craig Smith, who passed away 11 days prior to her.

Mrs. Smith was born in Windsor on August 1, 1939 and was the daughter of the late Jacob McKinley and Esther (Mundis) Herbst.

Fae worked for Bendix, Guy-Hobbes and eventually retired from the Dallastown Elementary school, where she worked in the cafeteria. She enjoyed doing ceramics and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Jason Smith and his wife Kim and Adam Smith. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Conner and Morgan Smith, as well as many nieces and nephews. Fae was the youngest of nine children, and was preceded in death by her siblings, Robert Herbst, Dick Herbst, Jacob Herbst, Vernon Herbst, Anna Shaull, Stella Knisley, Marian Hoffman, and Arlene "Nup" Smith.

Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 12 ^th , at Windsor Cemetery, with Pastor Mitchell Galloway officiating.
