Flo Marjorie (Snelbaker) Parlett, 92, went to be with her Lord on April 9, 2022. Flo was born October 30, 1929 in York, PA.
She was the daughter of the late Wilson Snelbaker and the late Ruth (Kauffman) Snelbaker. She was the step-daughter of the late Florence (Stagemeyer) Snelbaker.
Flo was a longtime member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Dallastown, PA, and she had lived the majority of her life in Dallastown, the greater York PA area, and brief times in Mechanicsburg and Chambersburg. She was predeceased in death by Curtis Parlett, her husband of 30 years, as well as her first husband, Dwight Wise, Sr. Also, her sisters Leola, Gail, Fern and Candace, as well as an infant brother.
Besides family and friends, Flo enjoyed spending time playing cards, puzzles, games, collecting clown figurines, and baking pies (especially her lemon sponge pie), traveling, and entertaining family and friends. Flo, mainly a homemaker, worked as a seamstress in Dallastown and York for many years.
She is survived by four children and their spouses: Dwight "Chip" Wise, II, and his wife Candice Wise; Jeanette Wise Allen, and her husband Perley Allen; Kimberly Nitroy, and her husband David Nitroy; and Daniel Wise, and his wife Lori Wise. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren, as well as her sister Kay Ann Renoll.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 7 th at 10am in the Garden of the Good Shepherd at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens; 250 Chestnut Hill Rd. in York. Upon arrival at the cemetery, an attendant will be present at the front gate to direct guests to the lineup area. Immediately following the graveside service, a memorial service will be held at 11am at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 109 E. Main St. Dallastown, PA, 17313. A luncheon / visitation will be held in the church social hall immediately following service.
