Gail Salome (Schell) Stump, 87, of Dallastown, died on November 22, 2024, at home. She was the loving wife of the late Dale R. Stump for 65 years. Born in Saginaw, PA on December 16, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Lewis J. and Florence M. (Beshore) Schell.

Gail retired from Schaefer Wholesale Florist. She was a long-standing member of Christ Lutheran Church, serving on the Altar Guild and participating with the sewing group. She was active in the Scouting movement, serving as a Girl Scout Troop Leader and receiving the District Award of Merit for her many years of service as a Cub Scout Den Mother.

She was a devoted daughter, sibling, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. Her greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed volunteering, birdwatching, kayaking, reading, and completing jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by son, Rodney L. Stump and wife Karen Eaton, daughter, Wanda S. Bupp and husband David, son, Bart A. Stump and wife Jennifer, grandchildren: Timothy, Tyler and wife Andra, Zane, Yale, Beth and Janel, great-grandchild Elliot, and sister Etta L. Stump. She was preceded in death by her fourteen other siblings.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, 104 West Main Street, Dallastown. Viewings will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 2-4 p.m. and Monday, December 2, 2024, from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be at St. John's Blymire's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, Dallastown, Nixon Park Nature Center, or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
