H. Franklin Long, Jr., 89, passed away peacefully at his home in Lancaster on Friday, April 5, 2024.  He was preceded in death by his wives, Hwal Lan Yang Long and Anna Marie Zelinski Long.

Born July 15, 1934 in Verona, PA, he was the son of the late Hugh Franklin, Sr. and Mary (Hulton) Long.

Frank graduated from Verona High School, attended Robert Morris Business School, predecessor of Robert Morris University and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy after 13 years of service.  He retired from Trans Air Manufacturing, Dallastown in 1997 and worked part-time for Rabbit Transit until 2004.  Frank was President of the Genealogy Club, York and was active in genealogy for over 20 years.

He is survived by his children, Micki Long, John W. Long (Mary), Kenneth E. Long (Kathy), Kevin L. Long (Linda) and Douglas E. Long (Andrea); step-children, Benton E. Yingling, Jr. (Deborah), Walter H. Yingling (Catherine), Rosanne L. Conant (companion Raymond), Brett A. Yingling and Bart E. Yingling (Dody); brother, Fred and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 11 AM at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, 104 West Main Street Dallastown, PA.  A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Tuesday, April 9th from 5 to 7 PM and again on Wednesday, April 10th from 10 AM to the start of the service both at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Dallastown Union Cemetery, Dallastown, PA.
