Obituary

Harold C. Creager, 82, of Jacobus, passed away peacefully December 9, 2025, at Wellspan York Hospital.

Born March 27, 1943, in York, PA he was the son of Charles E. and Margaret E. Creager. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 59 years, Jutta E. Creager; his son Brian Creager and his wife Sara of Cumming, GA, and his daughter Nina Kenney and her husband Craig of Dallastown, PA. He is also survived by his four grandchildren: ENS Ethan Creager, USN of Ballston Spa, NY and his fiancée Grace May of Richmond, KY; Mason Creager of Athens, GA; Alyssa Moldovean-Kenney and her husband SPC Octavian Moldovean USAR of Chicago, IL; and Ashley Kenney and her fiancée Ethan Miller of Dallastown, PA.

Harold was a 1961 graduate of Dallastown Area High School, after graduation he joined the military. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force as an A1C (E4) from 1961 to 1965 as a communications Technician in the 746 Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron in Oklahoma City, OK. A proud veteran, Harold was also a member of the Dallastown American Legion Post 605. Later he served as a crewmember and EMT for 10 years, 3 of those years serving as Ambulance Captain for the Jacobus Lions Ambulance. Harold retired from Verizon in June of 2007 after over 37 years with GTE and Verizon.

A memorial service to celebrate Harold will be held at 10:00 A.M. on January 17, 2026, at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc. 104 W. Main St, Dallastown, PA with Pastor David Brumbaugh officiating. A time to visit will begin at 9:00 A.M. until the start of the service. Interment with military honors, provided by his friends from Dallastown American Legion Post 605, will follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Harold's honor to the Jacobus Lions Ambulance, 18 S. Main St. Jacobus, PA 17407 or to the Jacobus Fire Company, 1 S. Main St. Jacobus, PA 17407.
