Hazel Katherine (Jones) Shanaman, 87 of Felton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at WellSpan York Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick L. Shanaman, Jr.

Mrs. Shanaman was born in West Conshohocken, PA on May 12, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Thomas B. and Helen M. (Woods) Jones.

Hazel was a 1954 graduate of Conshohocken High School. She was a longtime active member of the Pleasant View Church, where she was involved with Helping Hands Sunday School. She was a deacon's wife until her husband was called to be a minister. She was a children's Sunday School Superintendent as well as a leader of the Women's Fellowship and was also a girl scout leader.  She loved going to the beach, quilting, and most of all her family.

She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Keller and her husband Jeffrey, of Felton and Karen Runkle and her husband Dwayne, of New Paris, IN. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Susan Kline, Joshua Keller, Cassie Dunlap and Angela Stuth; 10 great grandchildren and 6 great-greatgrandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, T. Donald Jones of Conshohocken, PA.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Grace Lips.

A funeral service to honor Hazel's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 28, 2023 at Pleasant View Church, 10384 Winterstown Rd., Red Lion, PA 17356, with Pastor Woodrow Harrison officiating. A viewing will be held at the church on Friday and will begin at 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, followed immediately by the service. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
