Obituary

Hilda R. (Klunk) Snyder, 95 of York, passed away peacefully at Rest Haven – York, on Monday, December 7 th . She was the beloved wife of the late Vernon H. Snyder.

Mrs. Snyder was born in Dallastown on June 19, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Catherine A. (Deller) Klunk.

Hilda worked for the York Caramel Factory, Boring Manufacturing and Dallastown Mini-Storage. She was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church of Dallastown. Hilda enjoyed traveling, reading and loved to cook. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Jean M. Snyder-Bankert and her husband Jan; sister, Cecilia Harmon (Randal); grandchildren, Jan Bankert, II (Lorri), Troy Bankert (Stacy), Michele Selby (Chuck), George Geesey, IV (Marcy), Michael Geesey, and Marci Barna (Terry). She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Kirsten, Jessica, Carly, Brianna, Tyler, Cole, Colby and Kylie; great- great grandson, Henry Laine; son-in-law, George Geesey, III (Suk), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Geesey; sisters, Anna Smith, Mary Smith and Helena Schell, and her brothers, Leon, Paul, Eugene and Joseph Klunk.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held by the family at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church., Dallastown, with Fr. Mark Weiss officiating. A private interment will take place in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements in care of the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., Dallastown.
