Obituary

Jack W. Brillhart, 87, of Dallastown, passed away peacefully at the Dallastown Nursing Center on Sunday, November 19, 2023. He was the husband of the late Connie (Henshaw) Brillhart, who passed on February 3, 1987, and Cordelia (Diehl) Brillhart, who passed on January 5, 2018.

Mr. Brillhart was born on June 28, 1936in York and was the son of the late Jacob W. Brillhart and Florence J. (Bamberger) Brillhart of Dallastown.

He is survived by his two daughters, Peggy Eyster and her husband Ken, of Red Lion, Julie Schuler of York; stepson, Juris Vieglins, of Dallastown; three grandchildren, Nicole Kohler and her husband Tim, Sara Utz and Karli Ginther and her husband Collin; four great grandchildren, Jacob Brillhart, Taylor Dettinger, Sydney and Nash Ginther, and one great-great grandson, Oliver. He is also survived by two sisters, Nancy Rosier and Kathryn Stoll; sister-in-law, A. Christina Brillhart, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and the staff at the Dallastown Nursing Center, who were family to him for the past three years.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jospeh M. Brillhart, and a granddaughter, Christy L. Brillhart.

Jack was employed by Shipley Energy (Goodling) for 42 years, retiring in 1998 as a foreman. He enjoyed working in his garden, woodworking, snowmobiling, camping and spending time with his family.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 1, 2023 at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St. Dallastown, with the Rev. David Tietje officiating. A visitation with the family will be held at the funeral home on Friday, and will begin at 10:00 AM until the start of the service. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in his memory to the Dallastown Nursing Center, make checks payable to DNC Activities Dept., and mail to 623 E. Main St., Dallastown, PA 17313, Attention: Activity Director or to Memorial White Rose Hospice, 224 Saint Charles Way, Suite 100, York, PA 17402.
