Obituary

Jack A. Whitsel, 73, of Lower Windsor Township, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. He was the beloved husband to Nannette "Nan" K. (Danner) Whitsel.

Jack was born in Three Springs, Huntingdon County, on August 17, 1951, to the late Albert Whitsel and Ethelda (Everhart) Zerker.

Jack dedicated much of his life to hard work. He spent many years with Caterpillar before transitioning to a career as a plumber, a profession he proudly embraced for most of his life. He was known for his strong work ethic and his ability to solve problems with skill and determination.

Outside of work, Jack was passionate about the outdoors, enjoying countless hours of hunting and fishing. He had a special love for dogs, particularly bloodhounds, which he raised with care and affection. His love for animals was a central part of his life, and he found joy in their companionship.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Michelle Bohan and her husband, Brenden, and Kearsten Stoutzenberger. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Braden Winsett, Layla Stoutzenberger, Alaura Bohan, and Kyle Bohan. Jack was the beloved brother of Cheryl Witman and Thomas Whitsel. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Cathy and Chris.

A Memorial Service to honor Jack's life will be held at noon on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, PA 17331. Interment will be private.
