James L. Waltersdorff, 69 of York passed away peacefully at York Hospital on Tuesday, November 29, 2022.  He was the beloved husband of 36 years to Darlene K. (Stoner) Waltersdorff.

Born September 17, 1953 in York, he was a son of the late Leroy W. and Helen L. (Cox) Waltersdorff.

James is fondly remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.  A dedicated member of Turnpike Baptist Church in Shrewsbury, he loved the Lord and always shared his faith.  He also enjoyed working on his tractor, remodeling buildings and camping.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Waltersdorff is survived by two sons: Travis Waltersdorff and his wife, Abigail of Red Lion and John C. Waltersdorff and his wife Amanda of Spring Grove; six grandchildren: Ashley, Logan, Carter, Kaylynn, Jonathan and Evalene; two siblings: Roger Waltersdorff and his wife, Lynn and Pam Sterner and her husband, Chester; his sister-in-law, Rozlyn Waltersdorff (wife of his late brother, Bill), as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Bill.

A graveside service to celebrate James' life will be held at 1pm on Monday, December 5 ^th at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens; 250 Chestnut Hill Rd. in York with Pastor Jeff Feeser officiating.  Guests are encouraged to arrive at the cemetery by 12:45 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, South Central PA Chapter; 2595 Interstate Dr.; Suite 100; Harrisburg, PA 17110 or to Turnpike Baptist Church; 519 S. Main St.; Shrewsbury, PA 17361.

Arrangements are under the care of Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc in Dallastown.
