Janet L. Tavenner, 81 of Shrewsbury passed away peacefully at ManorCare Dallastown on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.

Born February 3, 1939 in Suitland, MD, she was a daughter of the late George R. and Mary (Prather) Tavenner.

Janet is fondly remembered as a woman very devoted to her faith.  She loved her family and cherished her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed music, gardening and loved to draw.

Janet is survived by 4 children: Lee C. Stauffer of Austin, TX, Billy G. Stauffer, Jr. of Shrewsbury, PA, Jamie B. Stauffer and his wife, Kylie of Mechanicsburg, PA and Shannon M. Augstein and her husband, Kevin of Nottingham, MD; 3 grandchildren: Tye, Lilie and Elijah; 1 brother, George R. "Butch" Tavenner, Jr. and his wife, Corrine of Prince Frederick, MD; her dear friend, Beverly Strunk, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and other family members.

In addition to her parents, Janet was also preceded in death by her dear friend, Billie Anne Murray.

A celebration of life service will be held in private at a later date.
