Jean L. (Wagner) Pacholok, of York Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at WellSpan York Hospital.  She was 96.

Born in Danville, Pennsylvania, on December 29, 1926, she was the only child of the late Charles L. and Grace D. Wagner.  She was married to John M. Pacholok, Jr. for 47 years until his passing in 1999.

Jean is survived by her daughters, Sandra P. Moyer and husband, Robert, of York, and Cynthia P. Eifert and husband, Nathan, of Dover, and granddaughter, Lydia Grace Eifert.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc. at 104 West Main Street in Dallastown.  There will be a graveside service for family at the Lewisburg Cemetery.

Jean was a 1944 graduate of Lewisburg High School in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Upon graduation, she began her career as a bookkeeper for two Lewisburg banks.  After relocating to York with her husband in the late 1950s and starting a family, she was a homemaker who mastered the arts of sewing, gardening, and canning.  Jean was an avid bird enthusiast and a lifelong fan of the Baltimore Orioles. What gave her the most joy in life, however, was spending time with her family and the twinkle of her eye, her granddaughter.  She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.
