She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca L. Barshinger and her husband Kenneth of Dallastown; her four grandchildren, Lisa Miller, Kenneth Barshinger and his wife Christina, Benjamin Barshinger and his wife Janice and Cathi Hicks and her husband Scott; 17 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles B. Wambaugh, Jr.
A funeral service to honor Jean's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 28 at Spry Church, 50 School St., York, PA 17402, with the Rev. Dr. Ken Loyer officiating. A viewing will be held at the church on Wednesday and will begin at 10:00 AM until the start of the service. Interment will follow in Otterbein Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions in Jean's name be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
