Jeffrey Lynn Golden, 72, passed on from this life on February 8, 2026. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Born May 27, 1953, in York, he was the only son of the late Otis Golden Jr. and Mary Sellers Golden. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his longtime partner, Jane Burkee.

A graduate of Eastern York High School and Millersville University, Jeffrey went on to earn numerous automotive mechanic certifications, reflecting his excellence in his field. In his heart, he knew drag racing was at the top of his list. He was employed by York U.S. 30 Dragway, where he proudly worked alongside members of the NHRA community. He was also employed by Shaul Oldsmobile and Met-Ed prior to his retirement.

In addition to his parents and partner, he was preceded in death by his aunt, Marguerite Kahler, wife of Robert Kahler.

He is remembered by his cousins: David Kahler of York, Edward Kahler of Groveport, Ohio, and Mark Kahler of Red Lion.

A short committal service will be held at Highmount Cemetery on March 3, 2026, at 2:00 P.M., followed by a time of refreshments at the fellowship building at Highmount Community Church, 5835 Furnace Road, York, PA.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 11, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing (EMMR) in York Springs, PA. All are welcome to attend this event at no cost. Please visit EMMR online for additional details.
