Jerry Lee Sentz, affectionately known as "The Felton Wildman," age 73, of Felton, passed away at his residence under the loving care of his wife, Cindy, and Hospice & Community Care. Jerry often said Cindy was not only his wife, but also his "best nurse and partner," and he deeply appreciated the wonderful care provided by hospice.

He was the beloved husband of Cindy Lee (Koontz) Witmer Sentz. The couple shared 34 years together and were married on September 11, 2004, in what they lovingly referred to as their "Redneck Wedding." Together they celebrated 21 years of marriage.

Born in Felton, Jerry was a graduate of Red Lion Area Senior High School, Class of 1970. He worked for 22 years as a Teno machine operator at Nathan Hale until the company closed. He later worked for Mastercraft, where he operated the Bacci machine imported from Italy for 17 years until its closing, after which he decided to retire.

A lifelong member of Cross Roads United Methodist Church for over 70 years, Jerry also proudly served on Felton Borough Council for 10 years. He was a dedicated member of Felton Fire Company #43 for 34 years.

Jerry had a passion for classic cars and hot rods. He was a member of the NSRA since 1977 and one of the original members of the White Rose Street Rod Association Car Club. He especially loved his old Chevrolets, particularly the '55 Chevy, and was equally passionate about his Harleys, owning a 1972, 1975, and 1985 model over the years. His favorite pastime was attending car shows, especially the NSRA Nationals East at the York Fairgrounds, which he attended every year, beginning when the show was first held in Timonium, Maryland, before moving to York.

Jerry also enjoyed working on his classic cars, caring for his yard, building projects, and carpentry work. One of his greatest joys was driving the couple's 1932 Ford Coupe. His idols included Elvis Presley, Evel Knievel, Dale Earnhardt Sr. (#3), and Mickey Mantle.

Jerry is survived by his son, Lonnie Sentz and wife Linda; stepson, Keith Witmer and wife Kim; stepdaughter, Buffy Witmer Bisking and husband Roy, affectionately known to Jerry as "Dime"; daughter-in-law, Carrie Sentz; five grandchildren, Emma Sentz, Camie Sentz, Shelby Bisking, Hunter Bisking and wife Haley, and Safari Witmer; one great-granddaughter, Morgan Bisking; and his sister, Gloria Flaharty and her late husband Francis, known to Jerry as "Flea."

He was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Sentz.

The family extends a special thank you to Steffanie and Candie, his nurses from Hospice & Community Care, for their outstanding compassion and care.

Per Jerry's wishes, services will be private, with burial to follow in Cross Roads United Methodist Church Cemetery.
