Joan S. (Schmuck) Kimmel, 86 of York passed away peacefully at York Hospital on Wednesday, July 20, 2022.  She was the beloved wife of the late Rodney K. Kimmel who passed on March 24, 2017.

Born July 6, 1936 in Windsor Township, she was a daughter of the late Curvin E., Sr. and Helen B. (Frey) Schmuck.

Mrs. Kimmel is survived by 2 daughters: Tina S. Keller and her husband, Butch of York and Kimberly A. Kimmel of York; 4 grandchildren: Steve Keller, Missy Witmer, Sam Becker and Owen Becker, as well as 2 great-grandchildren: Austin Witmer and Aidan Witmer.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister.

A funeral service to celebrate Joan's life will be held at 11am on Tuesday, July 26 ^th at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc.; 104 W. Main St. in Dallastown with Pastor Keith Berkheiser II officiating. Interment will follow in Manchester Union Cemetery.  A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will also be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10am until the start of the service.
