John H. Luckenbaugh, Jr., 84 of York Township, passed away at the Rosewood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on Monday, October 23. He was the beloved husband of M. Constance (Myers) Luckenbaugh for 44 years.

Mr. Luckenbaugh was born in York on April 21, 1933 and was the son of the late John and Mary (Reese) Luckenbaugh.

John was a sprinkler fitter with union 669 for over 50 years. He was a Pilgrim of the Loyal Order of the Moose and a member since 1984. John was also a member of the Viking Club. He enjoyed golfing and fishing. In his youth he was a swimmer for the YMCA, where he won numerous awards and ribbons.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, John Luckenbaugh, III, Margie Ann Luckenbaugh, Douglas J. McKnight, Mitchell R. McKnight, David L. McKnight and his wife Jodi, Tracy A. Rider and her husband Steve; four grandchildren, Chase, Zachary, and Rachel McKnight, and Nicole Veseth; and two great grandchildren. He is alsos survived by two sisters, Jane Bair and Janet Luckenbaugh; and a brother, Steve Luckenbaugh. He was prceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie and Ralph Luckenbaugh.

A viewing will take place on Friday, October 27 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, 104 W. Main St., Dallastown and then again at the funeral home on Saturday, October 28 beginning at 10:00 AM with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Edward J. Ross III, officiating. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's name to your local Loyal Order of the Moose.
