John W. Saylor, Jr., 69, of Springettsbury Township, passed away on January 18, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. Saylor was born on December 22, 1954 in York and was the son of the late John W. and Violet M. (Schaefer) Saylor.

John was a graduate of Dallastown High School. He received his Bachelor's degree from Shippensburg University and his Master's degree from Syracuse. He was a computer programmer and worked for the York Bank, Harley Davidson, McCrory's, and eventually retired from the Bon-Ton upon its closing.

John was a Penn State fan and also rooted for the Philadelphia Eagles and the Baltimore Orioles. He was an avid traveler and was a member of Living Word Community Church.

He is survived by his brother, Michael Saylor and his wife Diane; Michael and Mindy Pitonyak; nieces, Carolyn, Dana and his nephew, Jason. He is also survived by his extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Living Word Community Church, 2530 Cape Horn Rd., Red Lion, PA 17356, with Pastor Aaron Kunce officiating. Burial will be held privately by the family.
