Joyce E. (Frey) Lewis, 80, of York Township, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Inners Creek Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the beloved wife of David F. Lewis, Sr.

Mrs. Lewis was born on September 17, 1943 in Yoe and was the daughter of the late Allen E. and Ruth Delores (Barley) Frey.

Joyce worked for more than 30 years for the Graham Companies and eventually retired from United Cool Air. She was a member of Christ United Methodist in Yoe, where she was active in the church and sang in the choir.  Joyce along with David, loved travelling the country in their street rod and attending various car shows. She also enjoyed flower gardening at her home.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two children, Ryan Thiele of Philadelphia and Allyson Cobb, of Shreveport, LA; sister, Wanda Frey Kohler, of Red Lion; brother, Terry A. Frey, of Spring Grove; as well as a step son, David F. Lewis, Jr., of Glen Rock, and numerous grandchildren.

A service to honor Joyce's life will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at The Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, with Pastor Al Horst officiating.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday and will begin at 2:00 PM until the start of the service. Burial will take place at 1:30 PM on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. For those attending the burial, please arrive at the cemetery entrance by 1:15 PM.
